I have just received the great news that I have passed my oral boards! I want to express my deepest gratitude and thanks for the preparations I received from the course and its examiners. Having attended other prep courses and subsequently failed on my previous attempt, I felt clueless and became extremely anxious about how to approach the subject the second time around. But after the 26 sessions, my speech became more organized, my knowledge base improved, and overall confidence level definitely elevated. On the day of the exam even though I was still nervous, I felt well prepared to handle the stress posed by the ABA examiners and was actually able to keep a smile throughout the exams (one of the techniques I learned from your course), I walked away from the exam feeling much better than my first time and surely with God’s grace and your help the results showed! Thanks again for everything, I will surely let any and all of my colleagues whom are struggling with the oral boards know to utilize your valuable services.

Dear Just Oral Boards,
I took the JOB course after failing on my 1st attempt at the oral boards. I thought the practice exams were invaluable preparation. I did 26 mock orals, felt that I was still improving. So then I did even more after that. Answering questions under duress became much easier and faster with practice. Examiner feedback helped me understand why board examiners ask specific questions and also how to organize efficient answers that would keep me out of trouble.
I would recommend starting early as it takes some time to really improve. I am very satisfied with the JOB mock orals and I think I am a better Anesthesiologist for taking it.

Hands down, this is one of the best and most thorough review courses that I have ever taken. The examiners did an excellent job in simulating the actual exam. Additionally, multiple teaching points that you covered were actual topics on exam day! After having endured Just Oral Boards Boot Camp, the actual test day wasn’t nearly as intimidating as I had imagined. Without this course, I would not have passed! Thanks for preparing me and doing such a great job!

Dear Just Oral Boards,
This exam was a nightmare for me. I had passed the in-training exams and written boards always in the 90th percentile. So when I failed my oral boards the first time, I thought this cannot be happening to me. When I failed the orals boards for the second time, I became very depressed, distraught, and negative. Dr Tran encouraged me and kept me focused and positive. The entire Just Oral Boards crew were very helpful.
I have been waiting for the day to send my testimonial to you Dr T ran, but let me tell you that words cannot describe the thanks that I have for your help to get me through this exam. I feel like a huge weight has been taken off my shoulders and I can now spend more quality time with my family and focus on things I have neglected during my studying for this exam. I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge that will last throughout my career and I have J.O.B. to thank for that.
I recommend going to Dr Tran’s weekend lecture series course. He will give the attendees a number of videotaped oral exams and then will scrutinize each examinees answers to the questions. Dr Tran is a difficult examiner and critiques your performance carefully. This will help the examinee get a feel of how to answer the oral board questions under duress and understand how to compose oneself during the real exam. Not only that, but also, he gives examinees a number of grab bag questions during this course, one of which was on my exam. He also gives attendees free lunch (thanks Ke Dao)!
Dr Tran posts the results of his students on the J.O.B website. Overall repeat test takers pass at a 50% pass rate. Whereas those repeat test takers who take the J .O.B course pass at an 83% rate. For me the answer was simple, a year of my life is worth a lot more than the amount of money it costs to sign up for the Rapid Sequence course.

Dear Just Oral Boards,
Thank you Just Oral Boards! I am now a board certified anesthesiologist and it feels great! I can confidently say JOB is the best oral board course preparation out there. The mock orals are given on Skype at your own pace from home and the examiners spend enough time with you until all the material is well covered. No hurrying you unlike other courses to just cover the material and move from one person to the next. Many of my oral exam questions were from the course. I took Track 6 and 18 additional stems to make sure that I covered as many scenarios as possible. I worked hard but I don’t think I would have been able to do it without the help from you guys. I would recommend JOB without reservation to anybody who needs help to pass this subjective exam.

Your course is unique in its emphasis on one on one mock oral board exam training. The course is ideal for the candidate who has a good fundamental knowledge of anesthesia but lacks the ability to communicate their knowledge in a concise and” consultant”-like manner. Your group of instructors are also passionate about helping each candidate pass. Each stem question has helped me to become desensitized to the pressure of taking the real the oral board exam. My friend recommended the Skype exams from Just Oral Boards. As a first time test taker of this exam, I was a bit reluctant and thought I could read and practice on my own. So I bought the package of 4 exams and realized after my first practice exam how important it was not only to take this exam seriously. But also practice with individuals who can provide you with the correct information and difficult scenarios that arise during the real exam. I ended up taking the 3 day weekend course and did one practice Skype exam every weekend 2 months leading up to the exam. I also studied and did some practice exams with friends but the Skype exams were as close to the real exam as anything I could have imagined. After taking this test for the first time and PASSING these are my recommendations- Take this exam seriously and take this course to help you prepare and pass. All the instructors have different styles and are wonderful to work with and give excellent feedback. Dr Tran also has many different tracks available to customize your study/practice approach. He is also very approachable and answers your questions/emails in a timely fashion. I highly recommend this course!

I have taken other review courses, but I found this course to be the best and the smartest way to prepare. I came to know about it by Googling. Nobody can beat JOB’s one-on-one teaching and that’s exactly what I needed. This course taught me how to lay out my knowledge and respond the way it is required for the oral exam. I highly recommend Just Oral Board Track 6 program. This was my third attempt at the oral boards. I passed my written exam the first time and had multiple people tell me knowledge was not my problem. I took another review program two times without success. I truly believe that Just Oral Boards taught me how to succeed at passing the oral boards and is responsible for the relief I now feel I C8l’Ul.Ot recommend this program enough. This was my second attempt at the oral boards & taking JOB gave me the added preparation I needed to pass. I took the Track 6/Rapid Sequence course and thee weekend Crash Course the week before the exam. I started a little late (2 months before the exam) so it was intense but this worked well for me. With JOB exams are given by board certified anesthesiologists with the knowledge to correctly answer practice exams. The advice given at the end of each exam is personalized and addresses your particular strengths & weaknesses. With Track 6 you cover such a broad array of topics & numerous stems that by exam day you’ve seen most of the possible questions. My major issue was anxiety and I was surprised to find that on the actual exam I was calm & confident. Seeing ‘Pass’ on the ABA site was one of the best feelings in the world. I cannot put into words the relief of finally being over and done with this exam. I strongly recommend JOB for first time takers & definitely for repeaters. There is no substitute to the quality if their practice exams. Unlike other courses that I took on my first attempt the JOB exams were very similar to the ABA format. To the JOB team thank you, thank you, thank you.

Dear Just Oral Boards,
I passed the written exam with ease and was told that I would pass the orals just as easily with little practice. After all, I used to be lawyer and my oral skills are good. Bad advice! This is unlike any other exam I’ve ever taken–I walked into my first oral exam and summarily had my clock cleaned. There is simply no substitute for practice, practice, practice across numerous case scenarios because, in the heat of the moment, you must have a strategy to converse succinctly and cogently when faced with a lot of ambiguity. “It depends,” becomes a critical part of your lexicon. What is more, you must know when to punt and say. “I don’t know the answer to that question.” I took Just Oral Boards track 6 and it was absolutely excellent. Totally worth the price. My examiners were fully versed and spot on with their thoughtful analyses of my presentations. You’re not just learning substantive content in this course. You should already have most of that in your back pocket. Instead, you’re learning critical patterns in analysis and patterns in answering that will work no matter how ambiguous the substantive stem is. The second time around, when I walked out of my second stem, I knew I’d nailed it because Just Oral Boards taught me how to rapidly analyze and appropriately answer this very unique exam. I cannot recommend Just Oral Boards enough!
